The Case of the Cryptic Crinoline (Enola Holmes, #5)

Category: ReviewAuthor: Nancy SpringerGenres: Fiction, Historical Fiction, Middle Grade, Mystery, To-readSeries: Enola Holmes“The Case of the Cryptic Crinoline” (Enola Holmes, #5) by Nancy Springer was another interesting Enola Holmes read. In it, Enola has to race against kidnappers to get her landlady, Mrs. Tupper, back before they can harm Mrs. Tupper. Enola engages the help of Florence Nightingale to solve the mystery while trying to avoid her brother, Sherlock. The story seems to be a quicker read with a simpler plot than the previous stories. The vocabulary in the story, like Enola’s previous stories, is at times difficult since it deals with events and items from 1889. I still recommend this book for anyone who likes mysteries, MG, and YA stories.
