Mission Manhattan is another strong entry into James Ponti’s City Spies series.
In Mission Manhattan, the team stands strong even in light of one of their members being accused in a bombing plot while protecting a climate activist. Once again, the story takes us to different parts of the world. We’re taken to a rally in Venice, Washington, D.C., New York, and of course, Scotland. The story kept my interest to the very end.
My only difficulty comes from so many characters to keep track of with six teen agents, and their immediate supervisors. They all have their real names, their code names, and sometimes fake names to conceal their identities. Toss in a couple of bad guys and some peripheral characters and we’re talking a lot to juggle.
I can recommend Mission Manhattan for anyone who’s enjoyed the City Spies series, but would recommend reading them in order.
