Masterminds (Masterminds, #1)

MasterMinds by Gordon Koman was just an okay book. Perhaps I’ve come to rely on Korman’s books being fantastic, but this story just didn’t keep me turning the pages. In fact, I only foound out at the end of the story that this is just book one in this series and I don’t really have any interest in reading the next book, which goes on to further the story of these kids growing up in a small town of under 200 people. Their town, Serenity, is unlike any other town anywhere. There, the kids are taught to trust, tell the truth, don’t keep secrets, and basically, be model citizens. The problems start when they find out that all the adults in the town don’t follow any of those basic rules and are keeping life changing secrets from the kids in the town. Turns out the kids can’t even leave town if tthey wanted. They fall sick when they get to the edge of town. Once they discover this, their lives change forever, or at least as long as they live, however long that might be.
