Trey (last name subject to change, without any notice), along with his farther and sister are con artists. Well, mostly it’s his dad, but Trey and his sister are right in there with him, working at conning people out of their money until the code word, Houdini, gets them moving. At that, they leave town, leaving all their things and more importantly for Trey, all their friends. It’s the leaving his friends that finally makes Trey think about what he’s been doing and examining what he’s been told.
“Faker” is another addition to Gordon Korman’s stable of top selling MG/Children’s novels. The tone, pacing, and story arc all come together to tell an interesting story that gives insight into the fictional lives of these characters. Worth the read.
