Description:

“All the Lovely Bad Ones: A Ghost Story” by Mary Downing Hahn is a book I can recommend. I’m glad I came across it in my efforts to read more MG/YA ghost stories.

In this story, thirteen-year-old Travis and his little sister, Corey, are visiting their grandmother’s Inn located in Vermont. The Inn isn’t the booming business that the grandmother hoped for. In an effort to help, Travis and Corey decide to revive the haunting history they had uncovered about the old Inn.

Little did they know the Inn had a much deeper history filled with pain, misery, and, ghosts. Some not so bad and one bad enough to scare the other ghosts.

Travis and Corey’s time is spent first convincing their grandma that there are such things as ghosts and then later, trying to right some wrongs they did to get rid of the ghosts.

This is a popular story, particular for Junior High kids, and I can see why.
