Snoop

Description:

If Carter hadn't been checking his phone, he might have seen his brother coming down the ski slopes in his direction. And if Carter had seen his brother in time and avoided the crash, he might not have two broken legs right now.

Oops.

Now Carter is stuck at home for weeks, with both his legs in casts. Bored, he starts checking out the live feeds from police cams around his town. Before he knows it, he's obsessed -- watching his classmates when they don't know he's looking, and discovering some other VERY STRANGE things going on that no one else is noticing.

But what happens when Carter is found out... and the people he's watching know where he lives?

Reader's Review:

“Snoop” by Gordon Korman is another one of his books that should be on your ‘to-read’ list. Korman does such a great job of sharing a young person’s dilemma. In this case it’s Carter Peregrine, who is at home for months with two broken legs. He can only attend school via zoom calls. To make matters worse, he is addicted to screens and all this time stuck inside with not physical activities, he gets in deeper and deeper into his screen usage. At first, he’s innocently keeping up on what’s going on in his town and the lives of his friends via the internet. But, as his lack of other things to do increases, so does his snooping. You might be surprised at what kind of trouble and how much trouble a 7th grader could get into with a computer and the internet. Read “Snoop” and find out!
