Tesla’s Attic (The Accelerati Trilogy, #1)

Category: ReviewAuthors: Eric Elfman, Neal ShustermanGenres: Fantasy, Fiction, Middle GradeSeries: The Accelerati TrilogyFourteen-year-old Nick moves with his father and brother to the house of their great-aunt Greta. The attic — Nick’s new bedroom — is full of old, useless appliances. Nick decides to clean up and organize a garage sale. After he has spread flyers everywhere and has dragged all the stuff out, it starts to rain hard. Despite the storm, crowds of people show up. Each one seems to be attracted to a specific object. Nick is left in amazement when almost all the devices have been sold. Then it turns out that there is something strange going on with the things. The old-fashioned tape recorder records what you would rather not say, the photo camera takes pictures of the future and the old battery brings a dead goldfish to life. Nick must make sure he gets all items back before irreversible disasters happen. What he doesn’t know is that a secret society is after exactly the same thing …Loved the book. Interesting and exciting story.
