Griffin’s inexperience and his desire to please his harsh father leads him to bring the girl home, once he had found out she was blind. Cheyenne’s struggle to save herself puts a lot of tension in the actions within the book, particularly in light of the girl being blind. I found myself wondering how she could ever get free when she couldn’t see what and who was around her. Cheyenne is definitely a strong-willed girl in a difficult situation. Though it is a story I’ve heard before, Author Henry does a good job, particularly in the second half of the book in keeping the suspense and action going right until the very last page of the book.
