I found the story about 12-year-old Mallory and her friends to be a little disappointing after having read Currie’s “Scritch Scratch.” And, maybe I have been reading and writing YA stories too long, I guess. While the story moves along at a good pace and brings in “scary” moments, its characters seem like they should have been 18-year-olds.
