Category: ReviewAuthor: Nancy SpringerGenres: Action, Fiction, Historical Fiction, Middle Grade, Mystery, To-readSeries: Enola HolmesIn the series conclusion, Enola searches for missing Lady Blanchefleur while her brother Sherlock seeks her, with a message from their long-lost mother that only Enola can decipher. Sherlock and brother Mycroft follow Enola into London’s dark underbelly to solve a triple mystery. Where is their mother, Lady Blanchefleur, and their connection? The last of the Enola Holmes series, “The Case of the Gypsy Good-Bye” (MG) is up to the standards of the other books in the series. These stories are quite entertaining and will keep the reader intrigued throughout this book. Since these stories use a great deal of unfamiliar vocabulary, i.e., from the late 1800’s, for the younger readers I’d suggest these stories are for confident readers and not for youngsters who may be struggling with reading in general. All that being said, this entire series of stories are greatly appreciated. Sherlock Holmes, who has been around for around 150 years is still the name that pops up in one’s mind when one hears the word, “detective.” It’s nice that they’re being expanded upon and brought to new readers in this series.
