Victoria Schwab’s Bridge of Souls is indeed another walk into the world of the dead with Cassidy and her ghost friend, Jacob. In this book of the series, we are visiting New Orleans with all its paranormal history and the world of VooDoo. Although we’re following Cassidy as she goes about sending spirits off from this worldly plain there are really two problems that she must address; Jacob’s morphosis into a more powerful (i.e., dangerous) ghost, and the “Emissary” that’s stalking Cassidy. Since she cheated death in the past, he’s come to make things right (in the world of the dead). All while she tries to keep her ‘temporary death’ from her parents.

This is definitely up to par with the other stories in the series and will supply all the suspense, chills, and adventure that young readers might be looking for all the way to the end of the story.
