A Spinning Wheel of Murder (Frankie Chandler Pet Psychic #8)

Description:

Frankie Chandler-now Bowers-is still adjusting to married life, but nothing feels quite right. Her detective husband is stuck on desk duty and getting grumpier by the day. Her best friend is emotionally unraveling-snapping at her bistro customers and crying over muffins.

Then Frankie trips over a body. Again.

This time, it's Emmeline Allard, flamboyant hat designer and town troublemaker, found dead in a feathered creation that looks more roadkill than runway. The only witnesses are two gerbils in full ballroom attire.

No one seems broken up about Emmeline's untimely demise , but when a family friend asks Frankie to solve the crime, she can't say no.

Murder, marriage, and dancing rodents-just another day in the life of Frankie Chandler.

Reader's Review:

Jacqueline Vick’s 8th book in her Frankie Chandler Mystery series was another entertaining and fun read. Quirky Frankie and her husband, Detective Martin Bowers, lead the cast of characters. This installment includes more of her friend, PennyXXX the owner of the Prickly Pear Diner. Of courseXXX there’s a host of suspectsXXX and until the very end you won’t know who did it, at least not for sure. This is a good example of a “cozy mystery” that one can get comfortable and read for pure entertainment. My only caveat is that there are a number of references that anyone under 40 might not be able to get, but the adventure is still worth the read. I look forward to the Ms. Vick’s next story.
